Southern District Shooting Investigation

On January 4, 2023, at approximately 9:23 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 2700 block of Spelman Road, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 27-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was driving in the 2700 block of Spelman Road, when she was shot by an unidentified suspect.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On January 4, 2023, at approximately 9:24 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 3200 block of Pulaski Highway, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 55-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. While on the scene, officers were notified of a second adult male victim in the 100 block of North Clinton Street, also suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics transported both victims to area hospitals for treatment where the 55-year-old male is listed in stable condition. The second victim is currently listed in critical condition.

The location for this shooting has been set in the 300 block of Loneys Lane.

Homicide detectives have been notified due to the condition of the second victim.
