Southern District Shooting Investigation

On April 10, 2023, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Southern District officers responded to the 900 block of Mayadon Court to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 21-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his head in the 4300 block of 6^th Street. The 21-year-old male was transported by medics to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries. The victim’s condition is unknown.

Southern District detectives have responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Investigators are attempting to locate a crime scene regarding this incident.

Northern District Homicide Investigation

On April 10, 2023, at approximately 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Dartmouth Road for a cutting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 44-year-old male who was suffering from stab wounds.  The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where despite the doctor’s effort, he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

The suspect, a 22-year-old male acquaintance of the victim, was arrested a short time later. That suspect was transported to the Homicide Section where he is currently being interviewed and pending charges.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On April 10, 2023, at approximately 3:39 p.m., Northern District officers responded to Sinai Hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. The unidentified male was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Investigators are currently attempting to determine where the incident occurred.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On April 10, 2023, at approximately 4:35 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3700 block of West Belvedere Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a vehicle that had collided with a tree at the location. The driver of that vehicle, a 66-year-old male, was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On April 10, 2023, at approximately 2:51 a.m., Central District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 37-year-old male suffering from an apparent life-threatening gunshot wound.

At this time, the location of the shooting is unknown to investigators. Due to the victim’s injury, Homicide detectives have been notified.
