Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On April 13, 2023, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Eastern District detectives responded to the 1700 block of Normal Avenue to investigate a reported cutting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 23-year-old male suffering from a serious gunshot wound to his head. The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Western District Homicide Investigation 

On April 13, 2023, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2000 block of West Lexington Street, for a Shot Spotter alert.

Once there, officers located a 30-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
