Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On April 7, 2023, at approximately 9:47 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 6600 block of Marne Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 36-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.

Investigators learned that the victim was shot while in the 1600 block of Malvern Avenue. The victim then drove to the 6600 block of Marne Avenue, where medics and police were notified.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On April 7, 2023, at approximately 3:43 p.m., a Western District officer was approached by an individual at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and West North Avenue, the individual stated that there was an unidentified male bleeding inside a residence located in the 1600 block of West North Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male suffering from a cut to his left arm. Officers attempted life-saving measures on the victim until medics arrived on the scene. Medics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.
