Northern District Shooting Investigation

On August 30, 2023, at approximately 9:49 p.m., officers responded to the 4600 block of York Road to investigate a call for a discharging.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting but were unable to locate a victim on the scene. Officers were then advised that a walk-in shooting victim was located at an area hospital.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 32-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening graze wound.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On August 30, 2023, at approximately 10:26 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Wellesley Street to investigate a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive, unidentified male suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
