Southern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 30, 2024, at around 11:31 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a call for a walk-in shooting victim. 

Upon arrival, officers observed a 36-year-old male suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 1000 block of Bethune Street.

Southern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 30, 2024, at around 10:49 p.m., officers responded to investigate a ShotSpotter Alert for the 500 block of Laurens Street.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 38-year-old female and a 34-year-old female suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported both victims to an area hospital where they were treated for their injuries. 

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 30, 2024, at around 10:52 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Bonaparte Avenue to assist the fire department with two gunshot wound victims.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 16-year-old male and a 20-year-old male, both suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported both victims to an area hospital to receive treatment for their injuries. 

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
