Southwestern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 4, 2024, at approximately 11:06 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of South Bentalou Street in reference to a shooting.

Once there, officers discovered a 35-year-old male victim suffering from apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On Aug. 4, 2024, at approximately 10:01 a.m., officers responded to a call for an unresponsive female in a rear alley in the area of West Lanvale Street.

Upon arrival, officers located an unknown female suffering from a fatal gunshot wound in the 800 block of North Monroe Street.
