Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On December 26, 2022, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Southeast District officers were dispatched to the intersection of Mount Pleasant Avenue and Dean Street to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

Southeast District Shooting investigators have assumed control over the investigation. Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2422.

Eastern District Homicide Investigation

On December 26, 2022, at approximately 9:42 p.m., Eastern District officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Curley Street to investigate a Shot Spotter alert for gunfire in the area.

When officers arrived at the location, they canvassed the area and discovered a 40-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital by ambulance and pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On December 26,, 2022, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Western District police officers were dispatched to the Mondawmin Mall MTA Metro Station to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were directed to the underground portion of the subway station to coordinate with MTA police.

An ambulance was summoned and transported the adult male suffering from gunshot wounds to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The 20-year-old male was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On December 26, 2022, at approximately 12:42 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3800 block of West Belvedere Avenue to Investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 51-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the back. The victim was transported to an area hospital and succumbed to his injuries a short time later and was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On December 24, 2022, at approximately 7:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Bolton Street to investigate a report of gunfire in the area.

When officers arrived at the location, they canvassed the area for potential victims, witnesses or suspects and observed evidence that a shooting occurred.

A short time later, officers were notified that a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment arrived at an area hospital. Investigators went to the hospital and observed a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
