Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On January 2, 2023, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 6500 block of Belair Road for a reported shooting.

Once there, officers located a 46-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the back and neck. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Northeast District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2444.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On January 2, 2023, at approximately 4:22 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1800 block of West Baltimore Street for a shot-spotter alert.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a single-vehicle accident with the vehicle listed as stolen from outside the jurisdiction of Baltimore. The vehicle's interior was stained with blood.

A short while later, a 17-year-old male victim, entered a nearby hospital to seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his left hand. The victim's wounds are not life-threatening.

Preliminary Investigation revealed the victim was inside the stolen vehicle when he was shot.
