Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On July 11, 2023, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Belair Road to investigate shot-spotter alerts.

Once at the location, officers located a 23-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left leg. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was standing in the 3200 block of Belair Road when he was shot by an unidentified suspect.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On July 11, 2023, at approximately 2:41 a.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive adult male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to his head. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
