Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 8:40 p.m., patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent graze wound.

Officers determined the shooting occurred in the 900 block of East Fayette Street, where a crime scene was located.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 5:10 p.m. Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 4500 block of Cedargarden Road, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 42-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where his injury is believed to be non-life-threatening.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 3:04 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers were called to the 3700 block of Rosedale Street, for a report of an assault in progress.

Once there, officers located an adult male inside of a residence, who appeared to be unresponsive. Officers conducted a forced entry in an attempt to render aid to the victim who was  pronounced dead on the scene.
