Central District Shooting Investigation 

On June 8, 2024, at approximately 1:56 a.m., Central District patrol officers received a call from BCFD Medic for assistance at a nearby hospital emergency room for a shooting victim who approached them with gunshot wounds.

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers spoke with the 16-year-old female victim who was suffering from two gunshot wounds to the right wrist. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 800 block of South Broadway when she was involved in a physical altercation when an unidentified male suspect shot the victim. The victim then walked up to a medic who transported her to a nearby hospital.
