Northeast District Shooting Investigation
On March 9, 2024, at approximately 11:54 p.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Beaumont Avenue for a reported shooting investigation.
Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A third victim was found in the 5200 block of Midwood Avenue who was not shot but was physically assaulted and sustained a laceration to the face. The individual declined medical assistance.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were walking on 5200 Midwood Avenue when two unidentified black male suspects approached the victims with weapons and announced a robbery. A struggle for the suspect's gun ensued, resulting in the gun discharging and striking two victims.

Northern District Shooting Investigation
On March 9, 2024, at approximately 8:26 p.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to the 3000 block of Spaulding Avenue for a reported shooting investigation.
Upon arrival, officers located a 24-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital listed in stable condition.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation
On March 9, 2024, at approximately 1:33 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.
Once at the hospital, officers located a 34-year-old female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right thigh. The victim is listed in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation revealed that on March 5, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the victim was in the 300 block of South Monroe Street when she heard gunshots coming from an unknown direction. Shortly afterward, the victim realized she had been shot. The victim didn’t seek treatment until today.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation
On March 9, 2024, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.
Once at the hospital, officers located a 78-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right leg. The victim is listed in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was on Booth Street in the 2200 block when he was shot after hearing gunfire. The victim received a ride to the hospital.
