Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On May 16, 2023, at approximately 2:04 p.m., Southwest officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his left leg.

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Detectives are attempting to locate a crime scene regarding this incident.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On May 16, 2023, at approximately 1:44 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 40-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Investigators learned that the victim was shot in the 1200 block of North August Avenue, where officers received a call for discharging.
