Southwestern District Shooting Investigation

On May 4, 2023 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the rear of the 600 block of Mt. Holly Street for a shooting.

Upon Arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his right thigh. 

The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Southwest District shooting detectives are investigating this incident.  Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was in a physical altercation with at least one male at which time he was shot.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On May 4, 2023, at approximately 6 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of W. Lafayette Avenue for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an unknown male and an unknown female who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to an area hospital where they are in critical condition.

Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, homicide detectives were summoned and are investigation this incident.

At this time, detectives have no information about a motive or suspect(s).
