Southern District Shooting Investigation 

On October 9, 2024, at approximately 1:46 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 3700 block of Potee Street for a report of a discharge.

Upon arrival, officers located a 40-year-old female in a wooded area suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where her injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On October 9, 2024, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of E. Lafayette Street in reference to a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old male victim who was suffering from a graze wound to the head. The victim was treated on the scene by medics.  

The victim stated he was sitting in a vehicle when an unidentified individual shot the vehicle. Officers have located a crime scene in the 1700 block of Hollins Street.

Southwestern District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2488.
