Northern District Shooting Investigation

On Sept. 17, 2024, at around 10:32 p.m., Northern District Action Team members were conducting patrol near the intersection of Greenspring Avenue and Druid Park Drive when they were flagged down by a 25-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Detectives were advised that the suspect, an unidentified male, was still in the immediate area.

Upon canvassing the immediate area, detectives located the suspect of the shooting, took him into custody, and recovered a handgun. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injury. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 3500 block of Greenspring Avenue. 

Northern District Shooting detectives have assumed control over this investigation.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On Sept. 17, 2024, at around 10:04 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Montpelier Street to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 43-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injury. 

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northeast District Homicide Investigation

On Sept.17, 2024, at around 9:32 p.m., officers responded to the 7200 block of McClean Blvd to investigate a call for a shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered two unidentified males suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. One of the unidentified males was unresponsive and was pronounced deceased by medics on the scene. The other unidentified male was transported to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. 

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On Sept. 17, 2024, at around 4:23 p.m., officers were in the 1500 block of West North Avenue when they heard discharging of a firearm. 

Upon canvassing the immediate area, officers discovered a 20-year-old male suffering from numerous gunshot wounds in the 2000 block of McCulloh Street. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where, despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 400 block of Bloom Street. 

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On September 17, 2024, at approximately 10:12 a.m., Western District patrol officers were walking foot in the area of West North Avenue at Pennsylvania Avenue, when they heard several gunshots. 

Officers canvased the area, locating a 31-year-old male suffering an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the 1600 block of West North Avenue.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital.
