Eastern District Homicide Investigation

On Sept. 19, 2024, at around 8:21 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of East 20th Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert. 

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting. A short time later, officers received a call for two walk-in shooting victims. 

Upon responding to the hospital, officers observed a 30-year-old male and a 26-year-old male both suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures, the 26-year-old male was pronounced deceased. 

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On Sept. 19, 2024, at around 6 p.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting. 

Soon after, they were notified of a gunshot wound victim arriving at a local hospital. Upon responding to the hospital, officers observed a 24-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
