Northern District Shooting Investigation

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 11:22 p.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to the 3200 block of  Greenmount Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located an 18-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where his injury is believed to be non-life threatening.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 9:06 p.m., Western District officers received a ShotSpotter alert in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers responded to the location and began performing life-saving measures on an unidentified female, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics arrived and transported the victim an area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 8:13 p.m., Central District officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and a call for a reported shooting in the 900 block of E. Chase Street.

Once there, officers located a 17-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Central District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation 

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 3:57 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of E. Eager Street in reference to a report of a shooting.

Responding officers arrived and observed a 33-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is listed in critical condition. 

Southeast District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southeast District Fatal Vehicle Crash

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 1:35 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 5300 block of Eastern Avenue for an overturned vehicle.

Once there, officers located a single vehicle crash. Medics responded to the scene and transported the driver of a Ford Pickup Truck, a 35-year-old male, to an area hospital where he later died.

Preliminary information revealed that the vehicle hit a light pole and tree before overturning 

Crash Team investigators were summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
