Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On Sept. 28, 2024, at around 8 p.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Fredrick Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive 32-year-old male suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced the victim deceased. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 300 block of South Augusta Street.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation. The Medical Examiner's Office will take possession of the body.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On Sept. 28, 2024, at around 6:25 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of North Highland Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound and a graze wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. 

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
