Western District Suspicious Death Investigation

On September 5, 2023, at approximately 4:52 p.m., officers responded to the rear of the 800 block of North Fremont Avenue to investigate a call for a DOA.

Upon arrival, officers located unidentified human remains. The human remains appeared to have been in that location for some time.

The Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the human remains and will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death and identify the body.

Southwest District Fatal Vehicle Crash

On September 5, 2023, at approximately 3:09 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 100 block of South Fulton Avenue, for a report of a crash.

Once there, officers observed a serious two vehicle crash with injury.

Medics arrived on the scene and transported  the victims to area hospitals where a 53-year-old female driver later died.

The driver and occupants of the other vehicle are listed in stable condition.

Crash Team detectives are investigating this incident.
