Western District Shooting Investigation
On September 8, 2023, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of North Pulaski Street and Presstman Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.
Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area and located a 14-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 2100 block of Presstman Street.
Western District detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation
On September 8, 2023, at approximately 1:49 p.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Bloomingdale Road to investigate a call for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located three males, ages 29, 28, and 20, all suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported the three victims to an area hospital, where they are currently listed in stable condition.
Northwest District detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation
On September 8, 2023, at approximately 12:23 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of South Bentalou Street, for a person laying on the ground.
Once there, officers located a 41-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was approached by armed suspects who shot the victim then fled the location in the victim's vehicle.
