Northern District Homicide Investigation

On Aug. 16, 2024, at approximately 6:21 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the 600 block of Springfield Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 56-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene by a medic.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 16, 2024, at approximately 4:57 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3800 block of Chatham Road to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old female victim inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to area hospitals and is listed in stable condition.
