Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On August 21, 2023, at approximately 7:42 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 200 block of East Lafayette Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 15-year-old male suffering from a graze wound to the wrist.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time the location of the shooting is unknown to investigators.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On August 21, 2023, at approximately 3 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers were in the 500 block of McElderry Street, when they located a shooting victim at the corner of McElderry at Lakewood Avenue.

Medics responded to the location and transported the 33-year-old male victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot during the course of an attempted carjacking, in the 400 block of North Montford Avenue.
