Western District Shooting Investigation

On June 6, 2024, at approximately 12:25 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1800 block of Braddish Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 40-year-old female suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation 

On June 6, 2024, at approximately 5:17 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3100 block of Chelsea Terrace for a report of a possible self-inflicted shooting.

Once there, officers located Navaeh Ferguson (B/F, D.O.B.7/30/2006) suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where on June 11, 2024, doctors pronounced the victim deceased.

The victim's body was transported to the Medical Examiner's office which ruled Ms. Ferguson's death to be a homicide.
