Southern District Homicide Investigation

On October 25, 2024, at approximately 9:08 pm, a Southern District officer was in the 1700 block of Washington Boulevard, when an individual informed him that a person was shot near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and S. Monroe Street.

The officer ran to the location and observed an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased.
