Northeast District Attempted Murder Arrest
In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Northeast District on January 5, 2024, investigators have arrested a 17-year-old male suspect.
Investigators learned that the 17-year-old suspect shot the 20-year-old victim while in the 1300 block of Woodbourne Avenue. The victim then fled to the 5400 block of Sagra Road, where police were notified.
On February 14, 2024, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested the 17-year-old suspect without incident. Detectives transported the suspect to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged as an adult for attempted first-degree murder.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation
On Jan. 5, 2024, at approximately 3:28 p.m., officers responded to the 5400 block of Sagra Road to investigate a call for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 20-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 5600 block of Sagra Road.
