On October 19, 2024, at approximately 4:46 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital in reference to an individual seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. 

Upon their arrival to the hospital, officers observed a 38-year-old male being treated by medical professionals. 

Preliminary information revealed that the victim was in the 1500 block E. 35th Street, when individuals attempted to rob him. After a brief struggle, the victim was shot in the leg. The victim drove to his residence, and then was transported by medic to an area hospital. 

Northeast District shooting detectives have assumed control of the investigation.
