Northern District Attempted Murder Arrest
On Feb. 22, 2024, Western District patrol officers arrested 30-year-old Eric Nelson of Baltimore.
Detectives believe that Nelson was involved in the shooting of a 54-year-old male on Dec. 20, 2023, in the 5300 block of Ready Avenue.
Detectives transported Nelson to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted 1st degree murder.

On Dec. 20, 2023, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in victim seeking treatment.
Once at the hospital, officers located a 54-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. The victim is listed in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 5300 block of Ready Avenue by an unidentified male suspect.
