In reference to the homicide that occurred on June 30, 2022, in the Northwest District, investigators have charged 23-year-old Aamir Benton.

Investigators learned, Benton shot and killed Phillip Wallace (31), while in the 4800 block of Pimlico Road.

 Aamir Benton, who was already being held at Central Booking Intake Facility on unrelated charges, was charged with 1^st Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder in January 2023.

Investigators continued to investigate this case and ultimately arrested 18-year-old James Jenkins, on April 11, 2023, for his in involvement in the killing.  He too has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

Both Jenkins and Benton remain at Central Booking Intake Facility.
