On January 17, 2023, at approximately 7:59 p.m., the Fire Department and Northeast District officers were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of North East Avenue to investigate a dwelling fire.  

When officers arrived at the location, they were advised by Fire Department personnel that a deceased female was located inside the structure. 

The deceased female was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for the purpose of autopsy. The cause of death is unknown.  

Homicide investigators have assumed control over the death investigation.  Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2100.
