Southern District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred on February 21, 2023, in the 1000 block of Herndon Court, investigators have arrested 42-year-old Ricardo Clarke of Baltimore.

Investigators believe Clarke shot a 32-year-old female during a domestic related argument.

Officers were able to locate Clarke sitting on a bench outside of the hospital emergency room, where the victim was seeking treatment. At the time of the arrest, Clarke was still in possession of a loaded firearm.

Detectives transported Ricardo Clarke to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with various handgun violations and Attempted 1st Degree Murder.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On February 21, 2023, at approximately 2:53 p.m., Southern District officers were dispatched to a nearby hospital for a shooting victim who walked in seeking treatment.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed a 32-year-old female suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her right arm.

Preliminary Investigation revealed that the female victim was shot in the 1000 block of Herndon Court inside a residence. This incident is domestic-related, and detectives have a suspect in custody. Charges are forthcoming.

This investigation is currently open and ongoing.
