Southern District Attempted Murder Arrest

On Nov. 27, 2023, at approximately 10:06 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 500 block of Otterbein Street to investigate a call for an aggravated assault by cutting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 70-year-old female suffering from a severe laceration to her body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the 70-year-old female was stabbed by a 29-year-old male, later identified as William Bowles of Baltimore.

Bowles was located by officers on the scene of the crime and was placed under arrest.

Detectives transported Bowles to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with Attempted 1st-degree murder and additional charges.
