On Sept. 3, 2024, at approximately 1:02 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Russell Street for reports of a shooting.

Once at the scene, officers observed medics treating an unidentified male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
