Southwest District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Southwest District on August 4, 2023, investigators have arrested 36-year-old Lamont Johnson of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Johnson shot and killed 22-year-old Tiwan Wilson while in the 300 block of South Calhoun Street.

Suspect Lamont Johnson, who was being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility on unrelated gun and drug charges from an arrest that occurred on September 14, 2024, in the 1900 block of Poplar Grove, was officially charged with first-degree murder.

Johnson is currently being held without bail.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On August 4, 2023, at approximately 5:36 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of South  Calhoun Street to investigate discharging.

Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male victim sitting inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased a short time later by hospital staff.
