On January 4, 2023, at approximately 11:18 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 4400 block of Edmondson Avenue for a report of a shooting with multiple victims. 

Once there, officers located a 16-year-old male, two 17-year-old males and two 18-year-old males, all of whom were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. 

Medics transported the victims to area hospitals where the 16-year-old male victim later died.  The four living victims' conditions are unknown at this time.
