On December 27, 2022, at approximately 2:56 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital where a shooting victim walked in seeking treatment.

Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year-old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim is currently in surgery and is listed as in critical condition but is stable.

Southwest District shooting detectives responded and are investigating this incident. Detectives have learned that the victim was shot in the unit block of S. Caton Avenue by unknown suspect(s).
