Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On Dec. 28, 2023, at approximately 6 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 19-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the area of Wilkens and Brunswick Avenue by an unidentified suspect.
