Western and Central Districts Murder Arrest 

In reference to the homicides that occurred in the Western and Central Districts on June 2, 2024, detectives have arrested 36-year-old Munir Dawan Matin of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Matin fatally shot 32-year-old Terrell Johnson-Smith on June 2, 2024, in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and fatally shot 34-year-old Jarmal Harrid on June 2, 2024, in the 500 block of West Mulberry Street.

On June 10, 2024, detectives from the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested Matin in the 400 block of Fallsway. Martin was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and additional charges.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On June 2, 2024, at approximately 5:02 p.m., officers heard a discharging in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. A ShotSpotter alert also came out for the same location.

Once at that location, officers observed 32-year-old male victim suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Medics responded and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment, where, despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Central District Homicide Investigation

On June 2, 2024, at approximately 3:49 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of West Mulberry Street for reports of a shooting.

Once inside a business at that location, they located a 34-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased a short time later. An unidentified suspect fled the location in a red Lexus.
