Western District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Western District on September 22, 2024, investigators have arrested 38-year-old Teresa Collins of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Collins shot and killed 33-year-old Jasmine Simuel while in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

On September 26, 2024, detectives arrested Teresa Collins, who was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where she was charged with first-degree murder. Collins is currently being held without bail.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 9:06 p.m., Western District officers received a ShotSpotter alert in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers responded to the location and began performing life-saving measures on an unidentified female, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics arrived and transported the victim an area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
