On January 18, 2023, at approximately 5:43 p.m., Western District officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of West Lexington Street to investigate a reported shooting. 

When officers arrived at the location, they observed a 30-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by ambulance and pronounced dead by medical personnel a short time later. 

Homicide investigators have assumed control over the investigation.  Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2100.
