On January 19, 2023, at approximately 9:41 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1700 block of North Payson Street for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 29-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
