Juvenile suspect released to guardian.

In response to recent increases in traffic violations and incidents involving illegal scooters, the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) launched an enforcement initiative, with the assistance of Maryland Transit Administration Police, focusing on unregistered motorized scooters.

On Sept. 26, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Central District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. 

16-year-old released to guardian and 14-year-old detained.

In reference to the shooting of a 32-year-old male in the 200 block of South Broadway, back on August 5, 2023, investigators have arrested 21-year-old Jonathan Lopez of Martinsburg, West Virginia.
