On May 22, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of East 20th Street for a reported shooting investigation. 

On May 21, 2024, at around 1:38 p.m., the Baltimore Police Department’s (BPD) Metro Mobile Unit (MMU) executed a search and seizure warrant at a dwelling in the 2100 block of Druid Park Avenue.

In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Southern District on March 11, 2024, investigators have arrested 34-year-old Chavez Mitchell of Baltimore.
