On July 9, 2024, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of North Dukeland Street, for a report of a shooting.

In the first half of 2024, the BPD has seen double-digit reductions in gun violence, including a 36% decrease in homicides and a 30% decrease in non-fatal shootings.

On July 7, 2024, at around 3:06 p.m., officers responded to the 5400 block of Park Heights to investigate calls for a shooting.

On July 6, 2024, at approximately 8:22 p.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Woodbrook Avenue to investigate the discharging of a firearm.
